Men’s Tennis has Two Doubles Pairs and Two Individuals Advance on Day Two of ITA Southeast Regionals

GEORGETOWN, Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team had two doubles pairs and two individuals advance on day two of the ITA Southeast Regionals Saturday at Georgetown.

Two doubles pairs advanced to Saturday's Semifinals. Lucas Marques and Anatoliy Voloshyn defeated Milligan's Marcos Moreno and Stefan Macheiner 8-3 to advance to the semifinals. The duo will face teammates Jan Silhavy and Miquel Perez on Saturday.

Silhavy and Perez defeated Union's Diego Garcia Gil and Luke Geduldt  8-6 on Friday.

In singles play, Silhavy defeated Cumberlands' Pierluigi Cruypenninck 6-0, 6-2 and Union's Harry Jordan 5-7, 6-2, 10-7 to advance to Saturday's Quarterfinals. Logan Engela fell to Cumberland's Julian Parada 6-0, 6-1. Marques picked up a 6-1, 4-6, 10-5 victory over Midway's Axel Sperling then defeated Cumberlands' Gabriel Solda 6-4, 5-7, 10-5. Voloshyn defeated Bluefield's Alessandro Perez before losing to Cumberlands' Quinten Villetorte 6-1, 5-7, 8-10. Jalota Rishi also fell to Villetorte 2-6, 4-6.

In the quarterfinals on Saturday, Silhavy will take on Milligan's Stefan Macheiner and Marques will face Parada.

The ITA Southeast Regionals continue on Saturday at Georgetown.
