Women's Golf Takes Third at MSC Fall Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team finished in third place at the Mid-South Conference Fall Invitational on Tuesday. The event was played at Bowling Green Country Club, a par-72, 5,802-yard design.

Lindsey Wilson finished 10 strokes off the lead with a 957 (316-317-324) despite entering the final round with a one-stroke lead over second place Cumberlands (Ky.) who finished with a 951 (325-309-317). Cumberland (Tenn.) tied for the low team score of the tournament in the final round with a 309, scoring a 947 (323-315-309) to steal first place.

The Blue Raiders finished the event with the second-best scoring average across par threes, fours, and fives against the field of 11. They produced marks of 3.47, 4.55, and 5.30, respectively. Across the three rounds, LWC racked up the third most pars with 130 while adding the most birdie with 18.

Katie Biddlecombe paced all Blue Raiders scoring a 236 (82-78-76) to finish in sixth place. Her four-over final round vaulted her four spots up the leaderboard. She played the par-4s the second best in the field with a 4.33 scoring average.

Megan Mann just cracked the top 10, finishing her event with a 239 (78-80-81) to sit alone in 10th place. She racked up 28 pars to go along with four birdies.

Lauren Holeman finished just behind in 14th place after posting a 242 (77-80-85). Hannah Sumner produced the most birdies by a Blue Raider at the event with seven, one shy of the most by any competitor in the field, as she finished in 17th with a 244 (79-83-82).

Zofia Wojcik rounded out the scoring Blue Raiders in action as she posted a 248 (83-79-86).

Paige Gray and Kendall Hacker competed as individuals at the event. Gray finished in a tie for 18th place with a 245 (79-83-83) while Hacker finished in 62nd place with a 304 (102-102-100).

Ginevra Capo of Cumberlands won the individual title with a 233 (81-76-76).

The event was the final of the fall season for the Blue Raiders as they are set to compete again in the spring. Lindsey Wilson produced one win and four top-four finishes this season across five events during their fall campaign.
