Play Halted in Second Round of Gibson Bay Invite; Women’s Golf in Fifth
RICHMOND, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team sits in fifth place at the Gibson Bay Invite as play was halted during the second round due to darkness.
The Blue Raiders carded a 38-over par 326 in the first round on the par-72 5,916 yards and are currently 30 over in the second round.
Hannah Sumner currently sits tied for eighth as she has one hole to finish in the second round at 12-over. Tara Laverty who is competing as individual sits in 14th with a 158 (80-78). Kayla Saunders sits tied for 19th with one hole to play in the second round, Megan Mann is tied for 21st while Zofia Wojcik sits tied for 35th. Lauren Holeman completed the second round and currently is tied for 38th with a 171 (84-87).
The Gibson Bay Invite will resume with the conclusion of the second round on Tuesday morning followed by the final round at Gibson Bay Golf Course.
