Mission Statement

The Athletic Training Staff of Lindsey Wilson College strives to set and maintain a high standard of care throughout all of our intercollegiate athletic teams. We believe in a holistic approach in the care of our athletes, focusing on the whole person. Through evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation our goal is to make sure our athletes are able to compete at the highest level.

Who Are Athletic Trainers?

“Athletic trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Athletic trainers work under the direction of a physician as prescribed by state licensure statutes.” (NATA)

Athletic trainers are recognized as allied health care professionals by the American Medical Association (AMA), Health Resources Services Administration (HRSM) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Athletic trainers are nationally certified through the Board of Certification (BOC).

Lindsey Wilson College Athletic Trainers are licensed by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure.
