BASEBALL CONCLUDES 2021 SEASON WITH LOSS TO THOMAS MORE IN MID-SOUTH CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The 2021 campaign has concluded for the Lindsey Wilson baseball team, who was eliminated from the Mid-South Conference Tournament after suffering a 7-3 loss at the hands of Thomas More (Ky.) on Friday afternoon. The Blue Raiders end the year with an even 23-23 overall record.
LWC produced eight hits as a team on offense, led by Seth Price and Henry Paulino who each corralled a team-high two on the afternoon. Price added a team-leading three RBIs to his total.
Brady Cappe earned the start from the mound and was tabbed as the losing pitcher. Cappe went 5 2/3 innings where he allowed eight hits and five earned runs while walking two and striking out seven. Kyle Collin entered the game and tossed 3 1/3 innings where he allowed one hit and one earned run alongside walking and striking out one batter.
Lindsey Wilson found its way on the scoreboard first after Price launched out a three-run home run in the first inning of play. This huge play turned out to be the only source of run support the LWC offense could produce.
Thomas More scored a lone run in the second before riding three scoreless innings into a huge five-run sixth. A final run of the game came from the Saints in the ninth.
