Buchanan Named to Champions of Character Team for Baseball

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson student-athlete Mitchell Buchanan has been named to the Mid-South Conference's Champions of Character Team for baseball, league officials announced on Wednesday.

The Lexington, Kentucky native becomes the fourth different player in program history to be named to the Champions of Character team.

The Mid-South recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA.

Bethel's (Tenn.) Bryan Catala, Campbellsville's (Ky.) Mason Lee, Cumberland's (Tenn.) Santrel Farmer, Cumberlands' (Ky.) Ryan Shavers, Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) JP Key, Georgetown's (Ky.) Kyo Arita, Pikeville's (Ky.) Grayson Harris, Shawnee State's (Ohio) Kyle Eslick, Tennessee Southern's Landon Rogers, Thomas More's (Ky.) Jacob Caruso and Wilberforce's (Ohio) Gioviani Clark were all honored with the recognition.
