Cycling Finishes Ninth at Collegiate Road National Championships
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Lindsey Wilson cycling team finished ninth at the USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships.
With the ninth-place finish, the Blue Raiders finished third in the season long omnium. The omnium totals all points from all the disciplines at the national championships throughout the season.
The championships started with the team time trials. Lindsey Wilson finished ninth in both the men's and women's time trials.
In the women's road race, Sam Clark finished 17th with a time of 2:56:14. Julia Kwasnick finished 41st, Tessa Greep placed 43rd and Samantha Maldonado finished 47th.
Matthias Herrmann finished 20th in the men's road race with a time of 2:22:24. Lucas Poupard finished in 46th while Zach Fernau finished one spot behind. Anthony Bailey and Jacob Kuper finished in 64th and 68th, respectively.
Clark finished 26th in women's criterium with a time of 1:14:20. Kwasnick finished 33rd, Greep placed in 43rd and Maldonado finished 48th.
In men's criterium, Poupard finished 33rd with a time of 1:22:10. Fernau finished 39th, Herrmann placed 45th, Bailey finished 50th and Kuper finished 60th.
