Bio
Andrew Parson begins his sixth season as a coach with the Lindsey Wilson College cycling program in 2020-21.
Despite a COVID-19 shortened season in 2019-20, Parson's helped led the Blue Raiders to a No. 7 overall placement in the USA Cycling Collegiate National Rankings.
Parson helped lead the Blue Raiders to a third place finish at the BMX National Championships as well as turning in a sixth place finish during the Mountian Bike National Championship in 2018-19.
He helped guide the cycling program to a runner-up finish in BMX and a sixth-place finish in the mountain bike disciplines in 2017-18. He also coached individual BMX national champion Dustin Hammond.
Parson helped lead the program to a trio of top-10 team finishes at national championships in three different disciplines in 2016-17, highlighted by a national runner-up finish in BMX. He also coached Sabrina Bice as she captured the individual national championship in BMX for the second year in a row.
He helped coach the program's 17th indivudal national champion in 2015-16 along with an individual national runner-up and the team national runner-up in BMX.
Parson also worked as an assistant coach during the 2012-13 season with Lindsey Wilson before taking the helm as the head coach from 2013-15.
During his six seasons on the coaching staff, Parson has helped lead eight student-athletes to individual national championships.
In 2014-15, Parson led the Blue Raiders to a national runner-up finish at the 2014 USA Cycling Collegiate BMX National Championships and saw a student-athlete capture the Dual Slalom individual national title.
Parson also helped a pair of Blue Raiders to individual national championships in the Pursuit and Dual Slalom events in 2013-14.
Before assuming the head coach position, Parson was an assistant cycling coach with the program in 2012-13 and helped Lindsey Wilson to a sixth place finish in the team Division I omnium. Lindsey Wilson was one of five schools to score on all five disciplines -- track, mountain bike, cyclo-cross, BMX and road.
During his stay at Lindsey Wilson, Parson has been instrumental in the design and construction of the BMX and Mountain Bike Tracks located just off the Lindsey Wilson campus.
Prior to coming to Lindsey Wilson, Parson ran several businesses, including Gravity 153 Bike Sales and Service and Gravity Fitness.
As a student, Parson competed for four years as a Blue Raider, including winning the Mountain Cross National Championship at the 2005 USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships.
Parson graduated from Lindsey Wilson in 2006. He is married to Jade Parson.
