Junior Varsity Men's Basketball Runs Away from Cumberlands

COLUMBIA, Ky. – On Monday evening, the Lindsey Wilson junior varsity men's basketball team won its second game in a row and improved to 4-1 with a 93-56 rout of Cumberlands (Ky.).

The Blue Raiders got off to a strong start with a 9-0 scoring run, holding the Patriots with a bucket for the first 3:47 of game time. At the midway point of the first half, Lindsey Wilson led 26-7 before going into the locker room up 41-25.

Out of the break, the visitors trimmed the Blue Raiders' lead to 43-34, but the hosts quickly responded with a 25-2 run to pull away.

Tyler Seay paced the Lindsey Wilson offense with 18 points off the bench, including 16 in the second half. Phillip Dawkins and Rashoun Branch chipped in 17 points apiece, and Bryson Cross added 15.

The Blue Raider junior varsity men's team is back in action at 7 p.m. CST on Thursday to host Welch (Tenn.) at Biggers Sports Center.
