Men’s Basketball Travels to NCAA Division II Union for Exhibition Matchup

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team travels to Jackson, Tennessee for an exhibition match against the Union University Bulldogs Thursday at the Fred DeLay Gymnasium. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.

The Blue Raiders (6-5) enter tonight's matchup on a three-game winning streak. Lindsey Wilson is coming off a 2-0 performance at the Campbellsville Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 24-25. The Blue Raiders opened the classic defeating Harris-Stowe State 84-62 and then Simmons College 95-66.

Lindsey Wilson is averaging 81.7 points per game while allowing 77.3 a game. The Blue Raiders are shooting 39.3 percent from beyond the arc which ranks in the top 30 of the NAIA. Freshman Kenyata Carbon leads Lindsey Wilson averaging 16.6 points per game while shooting 58.3 percent from the field. Matt Khoury has made 37 shots from beyond the arc which ranks second in the NAIA.

Union is 2-3 this season and currently on a three-game losing streak. The Bulldogs lost their last game to Delta State 86-66. Union averages 69.2 points per game while allowing 70.2 a game. Ahamd Johnson lead the Bulldogs averaging 18.4 points per game while Justin Debuck averages 10.4.
