Men's Bowling Opens Mid-South Action in Smyrna

SMYRNA, Tenn. – The Lindsey Wilson men's bowling team was in Tennessee this weekend to open the 2023-24 conference schedule in the Music City Open on Saturday and the Brandon Burns Memorial on Sunday.

The Blue Raiders tallied 7105 total pins on the first day after five team games and 12 baker games, with all-tournament honoree Nick Blakey leading the way in fourth place overall. The freshman knocked down 1142 pins and bowled a first-game high 263 en route to a five-game average of 228.4.

Jason Womack and Peyton Huskey also averaged plus-200 on the day in 19th and 34th, respectively. The latter of the two cracked 250 in his third game, while Womack started with a 164 and then hit over 200 in each of his remaining four games.

On Sunday, Lindsey Wilson recorded a total pinfall of 6789 for an 11th-place finish.

Blakey paced the Blue Raiders, again, placing 23rd with a pin total of 1011 for a 202.2 average.

Womack and Huskey followed in 52nd and 53rd, in that order, separated by just a single pin.

Lindsey Wilson is back on the lanes on Saturday, November 4, and Sunday, November 5 in Marietta, Georgia for the Bowlero Southern Collegiate Classic.
