WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - At UC Tennis Complex, the Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team fell in a match down the wire, to the No. 18-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.), 4-3, on Monday evening after the Saturday start saw the match postponed until today.

Martin Muller and Hung Ju Wu defeated Firas Ben Chouikha and Santiago Diaz (5-1), 6-2, followed by the Blue Raiders securing the doubles point with Jan Silhavy and Lucas Marques defeating Mattis Le Montagner and Juanchi Alcon, 6-3, for their second win as a paring on the season.

Shortly after, the match would be postponed until Monday after the weather made the playing surface unfit to continue the matches.

Following the resuming of the match, No. 48-ranked Almeida would kick off Monday with a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6, epic victory over Christian de La Fuente, for Almeida's thirteenth victory on the season. The Patriots would then mount a comeback as Ju Wu defeated Diaz (5-1) 3-6, 6-2, 6-4, putting the victory for either squad to rest on the No. 6 match. Cumberlands would emerge victorious as Lucas Augotr downed Anatoliy Voloshyn (6-5) 1-6, 6-1, 6-4, securing the 4-3 victory.

The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team will be back in action for their Mid-South Conference finale where they will hit the road to take on Pikeville on Apr. 12 at 1 p.m. CST at Bob Amos Complex.
