Voloshyn and Sposetti Named Tennis Champions of Character

COLUMBIA, Ky. – Lindsey Wilson student-athletes Anatoliy Voloshyn and Salome Sposetti have been named to the 2023 Mid-South Conference's men's and women's tennis Champions of Character Teams, officials announced on Wednesday.
This is Voloshyn's first-career Champion of Character distinction, while Sposetti collects her second honor after previously being recognized in 2021.
The Mid-South recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA.
Bethel's (Tenn.) Ethan Nichols, Campbellsville's (Ky.) Nicolas Andrade, Cumberland's (Tenn.) Daniel Wessels, Cumberlands' (Ky.) Quentin Villetorte, Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Brayden Young, Georgetown's (Ky.) Tsugunosuke Hirose, Pikeville's (Ky.) Martin Lorenzo, Shawnee State's (Ohio) Duarte Melo, Tennessee Southern Felipe Dias, and Thomas More's (Ky.) Jackson Poulos were all honored with recognition on the men's side.
Bethel's (Tenn.) Samantha Jo Stone, Campbellsville's (Ky.) Oriana Espinoza, Cumberland's (Tenn.) Kaede Hatano, Cumberlands' (Ky.) Tessa Gray, Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Hannah Pearce, Georgetown's (Ky.) Madelyn Gill, Pikeville's (Ky.) Katie Steib, Shawnee State's (Ohio) Lacey Urban, Tennessee Southern Emely Castro Nino, and Thomas More's (Ky.) Kimberly Sabga were each honored with the accolade on the women's side.
Anatoliy, Salome, and their Blue Raider teammates are set to compete in the Mid-South Tournament Quarterfinals on Friday, April 21 in Bowling Green.
