Men's Tennis to Open 2023-24 Season at No. 16 in NAIA Preseason Poll
COLUMBIA, Ky. – For the 102nd consecutive week, the Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team finds itself ranked inside the nation's top 25 as the NAIA released its Preseason Coaches Poll on Wednesday morning, positioning the Blue Raiders at No. 16.
Lindsey Wilson is coming off a 2022-23 campaign in which it advanced through to the Mid-South Conference tournament finals before ultimately bowing out of the national tournament in the opening round.
Nine-time defending national champion Georgia Gwinnett College garnered all 13 possible first-place votes to snatch a comfortable spot atop the rankings. Tennessee Wesleyan, Keiser (Fla.), Southeastern (Fla.), and Xavier (La.) completed the top five from second through fifth, in that order.
Other in-league schools picking up a preseason ranking included Cumberlands (Ky.) at No. 10 and Cumberland (Tenn.) at No. 13. Elsewhere, Campbellsville (Ky.) is receiving votes.
The 2023-24 Lindsey Wilson men's tennis season opens in the spring semester.
