Women’s Swimming Sits in Seventh After Day Two of Total Performance Invitational
GAMBIER, Ohio. - The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team remained in seventh after the second day of the Total Performance Invitational on Friday.
The Blue Raiders have totaled 194 points heading into the final day of competition. Lindsey Wilson posted eight NAIA provisional standards on Friday.
Natalia Gorska finished eighth in the 100-yard backstroke. Gorska finished with a time of 58.21 to earn a provisional standard. She also recorded a provisional standard in the prelims with a time of 58.17. Azaliia Gabdrakipova finished 24th in the C final and earned a provisional standard with a time of 59.46. Hannah Woyscheszik also earned a provisional standard in the 100 backstroke.
Three Blue Raiders earned provisional standards in the 100 fly. Natascha Evreinoff finished 13th with a time of 58.00 while Allie Rutherford finished 17th with a time of 58.65. Rutherford posted a time of 58.50 in the prelims. Karolina Bidnik posted a time of 1:01.55 in the prelims.
Woyscheszik finished 24th in the 200 free with a time of 1:56.91 earning a provisional standard. Jaye Farthing also recorded a provisional standard in the 200 free with a time of 2:00.52 in the prelims. Rutherford earned a provisional standard in the 100 breast posting a time of 1:08.52.
Gabdrakipova, Rutherford, Evreinoff and Gorska teamed up in the 200 medley relay and finished 11th with a time of 1:47.45. The quartet of Julia Secanell, Farthing, Gabdrakipova and Woyscheszik finished 19th in the 800 free relay.
The final day of the Total Performance Invitational is scheduled to begin on Saturday morning.
